Katie Adams

When Katie Adams, from the small town of Raeford, NC, visited Asheville and the mountains of Western North Carolina as a child, she was captivated by the power and beauty of the mountains. She always felt she was a mountain girl at heart. After her Graduation from East Carolina University, she relocated, and started her new life in Asheville. On her very first day in town, Katie met Gus Adams, the man who would later become her husband.

In early 2000, Katie was driving by her favorite building in the heart of West Asheville, just as the owner was putting a For Sale sign in the window. This was Katie’s first venture into Asheville Real Estate. Katie and Gus, a master carpenter, bought and renovated the building. They opened Deluxe, a vintage clothing and furniture store on Haywood Road. For six wonderful years, Katie prided herself in offering an exceptional retail experience and earned many loyal customers, both local and international.

It was the "thrill of the hunt," that propelled Katie to explore real estate further. She and Gus purchased and renovated two additional properties in Asheville, and Katie continues to manage them. Katie has always passionately believed in and followed the mission of The Buyer’s Agent. When she heard that the position for a Client Care Coordinator was available, she knew it was the opportunity for her. In her eyes, being the Client Care Coordinator is the best of both worlds. It blends her love for superior customer service while supporting the home buyer’s experience.

In her spare time, You can spot Katie as she runs through the Kenilworth neighborhood with her dog, Basil.
